CodeB eForms Server by Aloaha

Mobile-ready forms Paperless on every screen.

Paper workflows cost time and produce errors. CodeB eForms are filled in, signed and sent directly on the device at hand, and every form is available as responsive HTML and as fillable PDF.

In short

  • Three formats, one link: responsive HTML (phones, tablets), static HTML (desktop, print layout) and dynamic PDF (Adobe Reader).
  • Automatic: the server detects the device; web=1, static=1 or pdf=1 in the link force a format.
  • No app: people fill in, sign and send forms in the browser they already have.

Why organisations switch

Collect data reliably

Validated input instead of illegible handwriting; data arrive as XML.

Simplify compliance

Sealed PDFs, signatures and timestamps document every submission.

Keep one look

Letterheads and cascading forms keep your corporate design consistent.

Three formats, one link

The server chooses automatically. Add a parameter to the form link to ask for a specific format.

FormatBest forLink parameter
Responsive HTMLPhones and tabletsweb=1
Static HTMLDesktop browsers, print layoutstatic=1
Dynamic PDFAdobe Reader, offline fillingpdf=1

How the format is chosen

A form link opens pdfforms.aspx?fid=<form>. The server looks at the device: phones and tablets get the responsive HTML version, desktop browsers the static HTML version that keeps the print layout, and Adobe Reader the dynamic PDF. Add &web=1, &static=1 or &pdf=1 to force one format, for example in a QR code on a poster that should always open the mobile version.

All three versions submit to the same place: the result is the same sealed PDF with the same XML data, whichever version the person used. Values the person typed can be remembered by the browser for a later visit, and a prefilled link opens the form with values already filled in.

Frequently asked questions

Do users need an app?

No. Any current browser is enough; Adobe Reader is optional for the PDF version.

Which Adobe Reader version does the PDF version need?

The dynamic PDF version needs Adobe Reader XI or later. The responsive and static HTML versions need only a current browser.

How do I put a form on my website?

Link to the form or embed it. The link decides the format, or the server chooses automatically.

Do all three formats produce the same result?

Yes. Responsive HTML, static HTML and the PDF all submit the same fields; the result is the same sealed PDF with XML data.

Can I send someone a form that is already filled in?

Yes. The REST API creates prefilled links that open the web form with given values, valid for 7 days by default.
